Gross Gott Everyone:
Just wanted to wish everyone a great Summer in Wien? I would love to know what everyone is doing and what are your Summer plans?
Has anyone been to see the movies at the Rauthasplatz? I always wanted to go but never made it. Had a wonderful trip to Prandorf, great shopping Wolford and Bally there are great, then on to a lovely dinner at Neuseidel with Bernie and Elisabeth. Hope you all get to go there this Summer, it is a beautiful part of Austria that most tourists dont see to appreciate.
Things are quite here for now, but will soon "heat up" with the campaigns, glad that you in Austria are over that.
Hey Idriss and Barbara, how was your event with President Fischer at St. Anna's hospital? Please post photos if you have any. I would have loved to be there, what a great event to have for the wonderful children that are in your care.
All the best to everyone for a great week end.

Hi Susan,
Good to read you too. Here as well the weather is moody. We already enjoyed 30°C and then it dropped all the way to 10 now we are climbing back up but another weather front is supposed to hit you soon. It's crazy. Still it doesn't get too hot in the city :-).
Yes the evening in St.Anna was wonderful. It was so nice to see so many interested people and children curious about science and how cancer research is done.
Unfortunately our computer at home seems to refuse us its services as of yesetrday so I won't be able to post the pics soon. Just a small outlook: I managed to take Duncan and Rosie while watching living cancer cells under the microscope. We were very happy to see them there and we hope to get together more often. Also I couldn't resist taking pictures from a clown who talked to a stuffed animal. It looked so real and it was so funny :-). We had a great time and we missed you there Susan!
I hope to read more of all of you out there soon before I'm hitting my next book. (I just passed pathophysiology :-)).
All my best
Barbara.
A quick "hello" before I depart for England on Wednesday.
The St. Anna's event was fascinating. Idriss did his best to answer our barrage of questions: and we have many more! I was glad to see such a good turn out and hope very much that it was a success.
Thanks for that photo of the sand sculpture, Barbara. I won't get the chance to visit but am intrigued by such displays. Do they use special sand? How are such intricate structures built? And what happens when it rains? We saw something similar at Lake Neusiedl once and I was transfixed. A real art.
Well done to Barbara on her Pathophysiology (sp?) exam, thanks to Idriss for the benefit of his knowledge last week, and a big hello to Susan.
Duncan
Hi Everybody:
Good to read what everyone is doing and so glad that Rosi and Duncan made the St. Anna's event, I know that Idriss and Barbara appreciated that! Glad the event was a success, did President Fisher come? I love the fact that he gave President Clinton 1Million Euro check for the Clinton AIDS Foundation. Very generous of him and his donors.
Barbara, you are wealth of info, cant wait to go to the place on the Schweden platx and the Auguarten with you and anyone else who wants to come.
It looks like Sept 20 or Sept 27 for the Networking party, what do you all think?
BTW, Barbara, what is "pathophysiology?" Sounds likea US Reality show with Paris Hilton?
all the best
