Welcome 2 New Pals to our Wien Blog

Hi Everyone,
Hope some of you are still reading and looking at our Wien blog.
Wanted to welcome 2 new pals, Vanmiracle and Merisi to our Wien blog.
They are both Viennese and will have a lot to contribute to our blog and to help us love and appreciate Wien more.

Welcome

So funny, I came over here to see if I can figure out where those Heldenplatz mystery heads are located. ;-)
"Viennese"? Oh pleease, don't tell that to anybody. I do love the city, that's without question, but I am still a bloody beginner. ;-)

Gruss Gott M,
thanks for posting on our Vienna blog, glad to read you.
Well all of us on this blog are not native Viennese, Duncan and Richad are from the UK, Idriss and I are from the US, Barbara is from Upper Austria, but we all love Wien so that makes us honorary Viennese. Some of the wonderful citizens who did the most for Wien, were transplants, ie, Mozart, Beethoven, Schiele, etc.
You may be a "bloody" begginer as the Brits say, but you sure manage to capture the beauty, allure and magical charm of Wien.
Keep it up!

Thank you for the kind welcome, Susan!

To all of you lucky enough to be in Vienna right now (I am beginning to sound like a Viennese! *lol*), try to see Horvath's "Der Jüngste Tag" at the Theater in der Josefstadt. It's world class theater.

Susan, have you had a chance to see "The Counterfeiers" yet?

Hi M and everyone else,
thanks for your post. I love Odon von Horvat's plays. Saw the "Tales from the Vienna Woods" movie at the Austrian Embassy here in DC. Wonderful picture. Strange that he was hit by lightening in Paris in a freak accident.
Would love to see this play at the Josefstadt theater when I am in Wien. Very beautiful theater.
Yes, I saw the counterfiters here at the Austrian Embassy movie night.
Glad that it won the Academy Award, it deserved it!
Hope everyone has a great and productive day in Wien

WHERE IS SUSAN????

I didn't get any mail from Susan since she left to Florida for the 4th of July weekend, what is strange because we wrote emails every day. I am not able to contact her at Foley. If anybody knows something PLS contact me. I am really worried.
