Back from Wien

Hi Everyone
Back from Wien and had a great time. Got to see all my "old" friends and made some "new" ones. VanMiracle and her family are just the best. Very lovely people, truly gracious Viennese with the wonderful Viennese charm.
Got to go to Laxenburg and see ILSA and tour the Blue Hof very beautiful there. Cant wait to go back in the Spring.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday Season in Wonderful Wien and please have a glass of Gluwien and punsch for me!
Hope to read here what everyone is doing.
All the best
susanvon

We are lucky to have such nice guests from the US in Vienna. Some viennese could learn a lot having your charm. Thanks again for the great "Only in Vienna" Book. I am so proud to have it signed by the autor himself.

Dear Vanessa
This is the "author himself" here!
I am delighted that you like my book "Only in Vienna", and it was a pleasure to sign it for you.
With best wishes
Duncan

Hey Vanessa and Duncan:
Do you love this networking thing? Glad that I could "hook" you both up with the great Only in Wien book, since I am all of 8,000 miles away and you two are right there in Wien.
Vanessa, when I come back in February, I will get you Duncan's Only in Prage and Budapest books!
Duncan is really the "Only In" Person on the planet! LOL
Also, Duncan, just fyi for your architecture tours, Vanessa took me out to the Verbundwahtever in Hietzing, you know the colony with the famous houses by Loos and Hoffman, and I got to finally see it. I have been wanting to see it for 10 years, but could never find it. I took a cute photo of Vanessa in front of a house with a Santa Claus!
tres shon
hope you both have a wonderful evening in lovely Wien

Because we only had the chance to see the Werkbundsiedlung in the dark I went up there today again - on that sunny day - and made some pictures. Everybody pls feel free to have a personal view how the buildings look like after more than 70 yrs. As winter is the best time for that walk, because you see a little bit through the naked trees and bushes, it was the perfect day today.
